CENTRAL DISTRICT COACH - PROVINCIAL A & PATHWAYS - Please note that this role will be based in Palmerston North and will serve as the Central Coaching Hub
POSITION DESCRIPTION - The Coach - Provincial A and Pathways role is a full time position which operates in the High Performance area of CDCA and reports to the Manager High Performance (Manager HP). The role will predominantly focus on year-round hands-on coaching (identified players below
the Central Stags and Hinds squad) in order to produce better quality cricketers. Through best practice principles and researching optimal benchmark programmes the Coach – P&T ID will identify, develop, coach and foster emerging cricketing talent across the Central Districts region.
Along with being the Head Coach of the Men’s Provincial A Team, the Coach – ProvA&P will work In conjunction with the Manager HP, and be responsible for planning, both training and playing programmes for players selected into CDCA Performance squads (MA male and female underage performance and talent squads through to coaching and development support at CDCA A level). The Coach - ProvA&P may also be required to work alongside the Head Coach of the Central Hinds to ensure coaching and development needs are being supported.
There will be an expectation that the Coach - ProvA&P will/may also integrate activity upwards into the professional Central Stags environment assisting in driving the performance, skill level and culture of all CDCA teams.
